Poetry of Resilience - this Wednesday, 4/9 at 3 PM

This film by Academy Award nominated director Katja Esson (US, 2011, 40 minutes, unrated) explores survival, strength and the power of the human heart -- as expressed through poetry. She highlights six different poets, who individually survived Hiroshima, the Holocaust, China's cultural Revolution, the Kurdish Genocide, the Rwandan Genocide and the Iranian Revolution. The film gives us an intimate look into the language of the soul, and brings us closer to understanding how art can flourish in spite of any obstacle.
