Library Seeking Trustee
Due to a recent resignation, the Trustees of the Jefferson Township Public Library are seeking a Trustee.
The Trustees of the Library are charged with ensuring that the community is provided with excellent library services.
The Library has nine Trustees. Eight of Trustees of are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Town Council. The remaining Trustee is the Superintendent of schools.
Typically, a Trustee of the Library serves a five-year term.
Anyone interested in serving as a Trustee of the library should write a letter, by October 7, 2016, detailing their interest to Mayor Felter, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey 07489.
The Trustees of the Library, normally meet monthly, at the library, on the third Tuesday afternoon of the month at 4:00pm. The next Trustee meeting is October 18, 2016. Anyone interested in becoming a Trustee is encouraged to attend a meeting of the Trustees.
