Summer Reading Program

It's Summer Reading Time!

Summer 2017 is a great time to read, build, create and have fun with friends!

The Jefferson Township Public Library is the perfect place to help your imagination take off!  Join us this summer for books, movies, music, activities and fun.
In addition to great programs and books, parents and children can participate in weekly drawings to win a variety of prizes, such as movie tickets, gift certificates to local restaurants, books, and games.

Our Kick Off begins June 26, 2017 and each time parents or children borrow a book or attend a library event they get a chance to enter the weekly drawing for a prize. Children can also help the Library build a reading castle.  Every time a child borrows a book they can write their name on a paper brick and add it to the castle. The library hopes you can help us complete the castle by the end of summer.

For those visitors who are students at a Jefferson Township School the library offers an on-line computer program, called Read Squared, that can be used to keep a log of the library books that are borrowed during the summer. At the end of the summer students can print out their reading log to give to their teacher on the first day of school. This will be available until September 15.

Registration for all children's events begins on June 1, 2017.
