Martin Luther King Day
The library will be open on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 19. We will be displaying books about King and the Civil Rights movement, and will play the video of King's "I Have a Dream" speech through the day. The iconic James Karales photograph "Selma to Montgomery March for Voting Rights in 1965" will also be displayed. The large, high-quality reproduction is part of the National Endowment for the Humanities "Picturing America" initiative, which uses works of art to tell the American story.
