Who is eligible for a Jefferson Township Library Card?

Any Jefferson Township resident or taxpayer may apply for a full service library card, good at Jefferson Twp Library and all other MAIN libraries. We allow for patrons to apply from age 4 & up! A full service card gives you access to check out items, place Holds, access our digital resources, and much more.

Any Jefferson Township School employee or student (must show school identification)

Any employee who works in Jefferson Township can have a courtesy card that is valid for one year. This card has limited access to holds and proof of employment must be verified.

Open Borrowing for non-Jefferson residents - patrons with this card cannot place holds, but may present their card at any MAIN library to check out books in-person.

How do I apply for a library card?

You may come in-person to apply directly at Jefferson Township Public Library. Please bring proof of residency (i.e. driver's license, utility bill, insurance card with address)

Fill out an online application - if approved/verified, you will be issued a library barcode automatically. This can be used to access your account, place holds, and use all of our digital resources, including Libby. *please note if you want a physical card, you will need to come to the library, otherwise, you can download the MAIN Library Alliance app for proof of barcode*
